Artist Statement

My work cele­brates the land as a continuous recycler, the compost site of memory and time. Recycled images of mechan­i­cally produced bill­board posters, and enlarged digital prints of my drawings, are contrasted with the more imme­diate mark of my hand. I’m inter­ested in utilizing the language of drawing and the idea of recy­cling as a means to under­stand and commu­nicate ideas about constructed and decon­structed memory and landscape.
